About Linda Goodman

Linda Goodman Linda Goodman is a realistic artist and photographer who lives in rural Ashland, Ohio. She has always had art in some form in her life, and couldn't imagine a day without it. Goodman currently has work in 30 states and four countries.

PAINTINGS: Linda has been a professional artist for years and usually uses acrylics-- but does work occasionally in watercolors, oils or pastels. She has done commission work for many clients specializing in landscapes, animals and pets, homes and more. She was commissioned by United Kennel Club, Buckeye Feed Mills, Ohio Spring Holstein Show, and numerous others for her paintings of championship horses, dogs, cows and more. Linda has also painted family pets, homes and landscapes for individuals. She currently teaches acrylic painting classes also. Goodman was honored to be chosen to be one of six artists licensed by the State of Ohio to paint and have prints made of her paintings of the Bicentennial Barns -- 13 of them were featured in her work.

PHOTOGRAPHS: Linda's photographs have been featured in the Amish Heartland Magazine, Heart of Ohio magazine; Mohican Magazine; on the Lake Erie Shores and Islands website many times; Ashland Visitor's Bureau flyers; Loudonville-Mohican Convention and Visitor's Bureau flyers; Home Savings People's Choice Calendar; and several websites. She has taken photos of Ashland BalloonFest for the last nine years and her photos have been on most of their advertisements. Her largest photo accomplishment were two photo murals in Ashland, Ohio, that were erected on the corner of West Main St. and Claremont Ave. that each measured 24 x 30 feet featuring hot air balloons in flight. That mural is now in a CD cover, also.

AWARDS & EXHIBITS: Goodman was a featured artist for both painting and photography in many art shows including the Annual All-Ohio Juried Art Exhibit--four time participant; Ohio State Fair-- Cox Fine Art Center for both photos and art; Equestrians' Equine Juried Art Show--Grand Rapids, MI; Art Cellar Gallery; Wings and Talons Show; Carrousel Festival of the Arts; High Road Gallery; AU Coburn Art Show; Main St. Gallery; Ohio Wetlands Habitat Stamp Competition participant; Woodland Gallery; Schoolhouse Gallery; and many more. "I love to find the beauty in the things around me-- and work to capture that essence on canvas, paper or with my camera. Art and photography have always been important joys in my life."
